Walking alongside organizations that care deeply about their communities

Why LEAP exists

LEAP Consulting was created out of a desire to support the work happening in small towns and rural communities with clarity, integrity, and care.

After years in demanding roles that left little room to show up fully for the people in front of me, I sensed a clear calling to build something different. I wanted to create a practice rooted in purpose rather than pressure, one that values thoughtful strategy and steady partnership.

Today, LEAP exists to help rural nonprofits, community organizations, and small businesses move forward with confidence by providing thoughtful strategy, preparation, and guidance around funding.

Why Rural Communities

Kelli Braun, Founder & Consultant

I have spent my life in small towns where relationships matter and resources are often stretched.

Rural organizations carry a great deal of responsibility with limited staff, time, and capacity. Too often, they are expected to navigate complex funding systems without support that truly understands their realities.

LEAP exists to meet organizations where they are and help them make sense of funding, priorities, and what next steps will truly serve their work.

Guided by Integrity

Grant work requires trust.

LEAP is guided by ethical, transparent practices that respect both the organization and the funder. That means being honest about what is possible, clear about what is required, and thoughtful about which opportunities truly make sense.

I do not promise funding or push applications that aren’t a good fit. Instead, the focus is on preparation, clarity, and long-term stability.

A People-First Way of Working

Begins with Listening

Before any funding opportunity is pursued, I take time to understand the heart of the organization, the challenges leaders are carrying, and what readiness truly looks like. Rather than rushing applications or chasing every grant, LEAP focuses on building strong foundations that support long-term success.
